		<description>Thanks for your comment, Mys. I agree that we can&#039;t always expect that our students will have access to the kinds of transformative technologies that we&#039;re talking about. Perhaps that&#039;s all the more reason that we need to model it in our classrooms. In our college of education, we&#039;ve established a laptop requirement for our teacher candidates, and that has helped tremendously. Because a laptop is a program requirement, a student&#039;s financial aid can be adjusted to allow them to purchase one. In some cases, it&#039;s the first computer in a family.

I&#039;d argue that it&#039;s not fair or productive to exclude any students from the world of mobile devices and ubiquitous information sources. If we&#039;re preparing them to work and live in our society, we had better pay attention to that. In the situation in which you teach, that can be a major challenge. Good luck to you.</description>

		<description>Very interesting.  I use of a lot of cooperative learning in my ELL classroom.  They have to teach each other.  But that is not quite the same as you are talking about.  I agree that we need to update education and get technology hyperinvolved.  After all, that is the future.  However, I do have students who have no technology at home.
