College Camps Start June 10
Wednesday, May 30th, 2007Hi Everyone,
I hope you all have been having a good summer. I’ve been busy getting the Talent Search College Camps lined up for all of you lucky students! We are excited to be offering some of you the opportunity to work with Robotics. The rest of you will be focusing on Rockets. Even the younger students will have the opportunity to experiment with some rockets. We are also lining up visits from various townspeople to come and talk to all of you about their jobs and their education that got them to their jobs.
Students that were accepted to the June 10-15 camp will be receiving a call next week to let them know what flights they will be on. I also want to remind you to fill out the Summer Food Service Program form. These forms will give us the added benefit of receiving USDA funds to guarantee that you get some great food to eat.
I hope everyone is excited about coming to Bethel and living in the dorms!!!!!! I can’t wait to meet you all. ~ Amy

My name is John John from Kwigillingok, my Yup’ik name is Aparpak which is short for Naparqalria. I am a Sophmore here at the Kuskokwim Campus and expecting to complete my Associates of Arts degree requirements next school year. My study is Elementary Education to become a teacher in one of the Y-K Delta school districts. Going to college is exciting for me since I’m interested in learning new things. My family has been my support since pre-school and I’m glad to tell them that I made UAF Dean’s List!
My name is Tracy Horn, I’m from Emmonak and have been attending UAF Kuskokwim Campus for four years now! I have graduated last Spring in 2006 with my Associates and now majoring in Education. One thing that I have noticed about KuC is that there are lot of nice people who are willing to help, that’s one of the reasons I enjoy school here. I would like to encourage all students to keep coming to school and to do their best and encourage other people who are interested into coming to school. I would like to give a BIG Thank you to my family and everyone here at the college for the motivation. Remember our motto: “Your Success is Our Success!”
