Discussion

Writing for the world imposes very different obligations than writing for the closed environment of the classroom. It similarly entails different risks. Even when they are not locked inside an LMS, discussion boards tend not to be as discoverable and often enforce registration rules to participate. Blogs with open comments and public wikis are quite the opposite.
