The ability to provide automatic links and/or context for words, phrases, or items.

Discussion

Wikis are the obvious example for this— simply indicate that any word or term should be a link and if there is a page with that name the link is automatically made… otherwise a link to create the page is made.

Tags and categories can fulfill similar functions in other software, as can keyword frequency analysis for finding “related” items.
